The Barbie Bus

Using a Barbie bus found in a recycling box and various other toys and scraps found in charity shops and old cupboards, the bus and the gender-stereotypical toys were transformed to become more gender non-conforming.

This piece aims to make viewers think about and question the ways in which we are conditioned and told to think about gender from a very early age, and does this is a playful and humorous way, in the hope of bringing light to a topic that has become very loaded and heavy in the media in recent times.
