The Bus

Using a Barbie bus found in a recycling box and various other toys and scraps found in charity shops and old cupboards, the bus and the gender-stereotypical toys were transformed to become more gender non-conforming.

This aims to make the viewer think about and question the ways in which we are conditioned and persuaded to think about gender from an early age, and does this is a playful and light-hearted way, in the hope of bringing light to a topic that has become very loaded and heavy in recent times.
